Access
to Forest Cover Data and Information
One of
the most important objectives in GOFC-GOLD is to promote international
networking for data access, data sharing, and international
collaboration. This has been, in part, a joint effort of the
GOFC-GOLD Implementation Teams and the CEOS Working
Group on Information Systems and Services (WGISS). As
part of this endeavour, a WGISS
Test Facility (WTF) - GOFC-GOLD task team has been established
to prototype and demonstrate the use of interoperable data
and services. In this section we provide some initial access
points for getting up-to-date data and information on the
world's forest and land cover.
