UNFCCC ECVs and Framework reports now on line

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that the reports that have so far been prepared by GTOS for the UNFCCC for the development of a framework for the preparation of guidance materials, standards and reporting guidelines for terrestrial observing systems for climate; as well as the assessment reports on the status of the development of standards for each of the terrestrial essential climate variable (ECVs) can now be viewed on the GTOS Web site at the following links:

We welcome your review, comments, additional documentation and any other material which may assist in completing and finalizing the reports. Please note that final reports on the above activities will be submitted to the UNFCCC SBSTA 27 meeting in Bali (December 2007). Any material that you wish the GTOS Secretariat to consider should therefore be submitted by the 7 September 2007.
