Monte Pino Met European Research Observatory (MetEROBS) is an accredited Global Environmental Facility NGO set up according to the World Meteorological Organization guidelines. Its mission is to advance understanding of the natural systems that create the Earth's weather and climate, by maintaining its hilly weather station in Calore River Basin – Serretelle watershed (Southern Italy) since 1986. MetROBS is unique in Italy where measurements of non-usual variables, such as reference evapotranspiration, rainfall erosivity and soil annual loss from erosion, are executed continuously since 2001.
