The project is taking place in seven African ACP countries, including Benin, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Malawi, Rwanda and Uganda. 

Countries where the focus is on cassava include Benin, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana and Malawi. In Benin, both yam and cassava are taken into consideration. 

Countries focusing on Irish potato include Rwanda and Uganda.
