Atlas of Rural Women in Latin America and the Caribbean

Publication cover.

This study conducted by FAO and ECLAC during the first half of 2016 analyzes the situation of rural women in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), based on an analysis of information broken down by gender for 12 countries in the region, including poverty and income levels, resources and time-related indicators. It also takes into account the implementation of gender-related public policies in the LAC region, using the SDG as a point of reference, Paragraph 14 of the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), the Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean, and The Brasilia Declaration, among others.
