Dinosaur egg fruit - the new fruit on the market in Argentina

The arrival of this product created a stir in the markets due to its marketing potential and important nutritional value.

A new hybrid fruit commercially known as the "Dinosaur Egg," produced from the genetic cross between a plum and an apricot, is already being commercialized in Buenos Aires.

Known in English by the name of "pluot" or "plumcots" (by the conjunction of "plum" and "apricot"), it has an extra sweet interior and red color, while its surface is mottled, giving it the commercial name "dinosaur egg," which is often of great interest to consumers. It varies between a 16% to 18% sugar content, in addition to vitamin C and potassium.
