Plant built in Cuba for industrializing bean and corn harvest

The plant will cover approximately half of the production for the province of Sancti Spiritus.

A new drying and beneficiation plant is being built in the Cuban province of Sancti Spíritus, with support from the European Economic Community and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, for the industrialization of bean and corn crops.

Valued at close to four million pesos and capable of processing approximately 40 tons in 24 hours, this is the first plant of its kind to be built in the country, designed to close the cycle in one of the highest bean-growing regions of Cuba.
