Country-phase Inception Workshop

Bouaké - Côte d'Ivoire, 06/02/2017 - 08/02/2017

This workshop which took place in Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire, from 6 to 8 February 2017 gathered all stakeholders from the four pilot countries (Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Niger and Gambia) involved in the second phase of the project: national focal points and consultants, IFAD project managers, FAO project coordination team and technical experts.

The objective of this workshop was to launch the country-level phase of the project with country partners, to present the results of the regional study on the impacts of climate change in the irrigation systems in West and Central Africa, to discuss the country-phase methodology and to agree on the work plan.

The programme of the workshop included:

- Monday, 6 February: Understanding the project, its objective and the country-level work

- Tuesday, 7 February: Field visit

- Wednesday, 8 February: Country-level planning, project documentation and exchange.
