Adapting irrigation to climate change (AICCA)

Events

FAO, in collaboration with Agrhymet (Niger), is organizing a regional workshop to assess the impacts of climate change on crop yields through the AquaCrop tool, in the framework of the AICCA project.

The workshop is addressed to the project partners from Mali, Niger, the Gambia and Côte d'Ivoire, and to representatives from the Government and other insititutions based in Niger who are involved in water management.

The International Forum on “Solar Technologies for Small-Scale Agriculture and Water Management” was organized by FAO, together with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), the “Research Program on Water, Land and Ecosystems” (WLE) and “Powering Agriculture: An Energy Grand Challenge for Development” (PAEGC).

SHARP Training

Country-phase Inception Workshop

FAO presented at IFAD Headquarters in Rome a review of the “Regional analysis of climate change impacts on irrigated systems in different agro-ecological zones of West and Central Africa”. This study aims to analyse the impacts of climate variability on irrigated agriculture and to identify regionally representative irrigated systems in the West and Central Africa region.
