During the country inception workshop of the project “Adapting small-scale irrigation to climate change in Central and West Africa” which took place in Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire, from 6 to 8 February 2017, we interviewed project partners who outline the main small-scale irrigation technologies used in Mali, Niger, Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia. They also talk about the risks and challenges of climate change and the resilience of irrigation systems towards climate variability in their country. They highlight the importance of the project in the framework of the national policy on rural development of their countries.
