Ecosystem Survey Planning and Analysis

The task of this group will be to lead the coordination in the region of research cruises and of the analysis of the data collected.

The first meeting of this working group was held  in Dakar, Senegal on 29-30 October 2010.


This Working Group is critical in optimizing the information available for the TDA and SAP and in moving forward the ultimate goal of having an ongoing stream of scientific information for effective management of the CCLME. 

The EAF-Nansen Project is a key player in this effort and under FAO’s leadership has moved strongly towards ecosystem cruises addressing LME objectives.

The CCLME is also fortunate to have regional research vessels working in the LME and other research vessels from outside the region also conduct surveys.

This Working Group’s Task will be to lead efforts for coordination in the region of research cruises and of the analysis of the data collected and the effort to include broad.
