This Working Group has a broad purview addressing the socio-economic and trade aspects of fisheries and will be assigned specific tasks by the Steering Committee and the Project Coordinator over time. Therefore it is expected that the membership will shift to provide a group with the expertise to address the task at hand.

The first specific task will be to address fisheries trade issues - an area of great importance which was highlighted in the preliminary TDA.

On a longer time frame this Working Group will address critical socio-economic issues relevant for the fisheries sector and eventually others as needed for the development of the final TDA and the SAP.
