Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis (TDA)

This group will lead the TDA process and the finalization of the TDA.

This group will lead the TDA process and the finalization of the TDA, it will maintain close interactions and requires appropriate inputs to the TDA from the other Working Groups, demonstration activities and other activities of the project.

The TDA working Group is central to the objective of the first Phase of the CCLME project. This group will lead the TDA process and the finalization of the TDA, it will maintain close interactions and require appropriate inputs to the TDA from the other Working Groups, demonstration activities and other activities of the project. The TDA is an important input to the Strategic Action Plan (SAP).

The TDA is a science based assessment tool which identifies and quantifies water body related issues in a LME region, it analyzes their causes and assesses their impacts, both environmental and socio-economic. The TDA indicates which elements are transboundary and prioritizes activities which address solutions to the root causes.

The Preliminary CCLME TDA prepared during the PDF-B phase is the starting point for this Working Group. However, as it has been five years since this was completed changes might have occurred that needs to be addressed. There might also be issues not included or addressed in the preliminary version.
