Togo organizes a joint seminar presenting the results of the national agriculture census and CountrySTAT sensitization seminar

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, in collaboration with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Economic and Monetary Union of West Africa (UEMOA) is organizing seminar to validate the results of the National Agriculture Census (NCA) and to raise awareness on the CountrySTAT system in Togo.

The primary objective of this seminar is to conduct the validation of the results of the fourth agriculture census of Togo. Today, thanks to the results of NCA, Togo has a clear understanding of the issues and challenges faced by the agricultural sector, and can implement necessary policies accordingly. The event demonstrates Togo’s commitment and continuing efforts to develop its agricultural sector and to improve its agricultural productivity.
The second objective of the seminar is to inform the general public, data users and government officials about CountrySTAT and its potential to facilitate the formulation of policies by providing reliable and timely statistics on national food and agriculture situation.
