Training and webinars

An e-learning course on the EX-Ante Carbon balance Tool has been released through a joint collaboration by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and  FAO. The e-course is permanently accessible for self-paced distance learning from the FAO e-learning Academy.

The EX-ACT team also provides training and webinars to partner institutions that are interested in forming independent users of one or more of the tools in the EX-ACT suite. Standard trainings usually revolve around the following points:

  • why the tools were developed;
  • how the tools work: methodology and guidelines;
  • exercises and case studies;
  • deepening the analysis: using different tiers and integrating the EX-ACT tools.

Trainings and webinars can be offered to institutional partners, as well as Universities and private organizations. The most common partnering institutions are national ministries of agriculture and environment, multilateral and bilateral development agencies as well as non-governmental organizations.

Currently, EX-ACT workshops have been carried out in over 40 countries with a main focus on developing countries. Many training workshops lead to subsequent detailed EX-ACT analyses, which can be requested at the following address: [email protected]
