FISH4ACP

Unlocking the potential
of sustainable fisheries and aquaculture
in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific

Caribbean

In the Caribbean, FISH4ACP concentrates on mahi-mahi in the Dominican Republic and on seabob shrimp Guyana.

Mahi-mahi is an important catch for local fishers in the Dominican Republic. FISH4ACP aims to improve this artisanal fishery, while ensuring that economic growth goes hand in hand with environmental sustainability and social inclusiveness.

FISH4ACP aims to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the Atlantic seabob fishery in Guyana, where local demand is expected to rise as a consequence of emerging oil and gas production.

At the same time, FISH4ACP will ensure that economic improvements go hand in hand with environmental sustainability and social inclusiveness.
