Inauguration of Safe Broilers Sale Centre Cum Process Centre

Summary of the Workshop:

According to LoA work plan, counterparts DLS were organized  a  half day workshop under poultry value chain in Deputy Director office training room, Jessore Sadar  namely “Awareness and Motivation workshop with Buyers-Suppliers- consumers to promote safe broilers production and market linkage” on 11th July 2017. In this workshop 30 participants were present from different stake holders (buyers, suppliers, producers, media personnel, vendors along with people from consumer’s rights and local gov. as well as local administration. 

Dr. Md. Mehedi Hossain, Director, production was present as Chief Guest  where the workshop was chaired by Dr. Md. Nizam Uddin, Deputy Director Jessore Sadar  Dr. Md.Saiful islam, Project coordinator & Head of Epidemiology unit along with Md. Ponkoj Ghosh Upazilla Nirbahi Officer were present as special guest. Dr. Bovotosh Shaha, District Livestock Officer and Dr.Sk .Shaheenur Islam were facilitated the workshop along with me.

A safe Broilers sale center was inaugurated in Taltala, Jessore Sadar after the completion of workshop by the presence of chief guest that was run by project enlisted safe broilers farmers association and owned by Md.Rafiqul Islam Babu Secretary of that association. This Centre collect the broilers from their association listed farms that are certified by local DLS officials. The motive of this sale center cum dressed broilers shop is to brand the safe broilers meat among the consumers.
