FAO and Landscape Finance Lab are happy to share the new date for the showcase webinar sharing case studies from teams working on Forest Landscape Restoration. Speakers will illustrate how different investment mechanisms and strategies have been used to provide blended funding sources to support local stakeholders engaged.

The objectives of the learning forum are:

  • Share experience and lessons learned through case studies on the implementation of financing mechanisms to support FLR, with a focus on:

    • How this finance supports smallholders implement activities on the ground

    • How finance and activities were coordinated and integrated within a financing mechanisms

    • How different stakeholders and landscape actors were engaged through different stages of the FLR process, and how this impacted financing

    • Challenges faced in seeking, coordinating and enabling the sustainability of finance within the landscape

  • Support exchange of experiences between members of the online Community of Practice with the working title, “Finance for Forest and Landscape Restoration”

  • Launch small survey to networks to understand learning needs to enable development
