1st International Fisheries Stakeholders Forum

An overview on the status of the fisheries sector and a look at the future are debated during this one-of-a-kind event, which will take place in Vigo from 8 to 9 October.

FAO is partnering with The Ministry for Agriculture, Food and Environment of Spain and Conxemar (the Spanish Association of Wholesalers, Importers, Manufacturers and Exporters of fish products and Aquaculture) to organize an event to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (the Code).

The First International Fisheries Stakeholders Forum is an opportunity to celebrate with the industry what the Code has helped to achieve during the past twenty years, and outline the challenges and goals for the next twenty years of future work.

The event will take place in Vigo, Spain, from 8 to 9 October 2015, hosted at the Auditorium of the Teatro Afundación.

During the two-day forum, stakeholders are given the opportunity to gather and discuss a range of topics, included below.
