The Products, Trade and Marketing Branch (FIAM) of the FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Department is looking for 2 Senior Fishery Officers.  

Candidates need an advanced university degree, 10 years of relevant experience, working knowledge of English and limited knowledge of one of the other official languages of FAO.

• Senior Fishery Officer (Seafood Value Chain) 
  Technical Focus: Seafood value chains, resilience along value chains, sustainable seafood production and consumption, advisory services to member countries on seafood waste, loss and value chain improvements, pro-poor value chain in support to delivering strategic objectives (3 and 4) outcomes and outputs.

• Senior Fishery Officer (Trade)
  Technical Focus: Trade related policy frame works, FAO Sub-Committee on Fish Trade, trade-related guidelines in support of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries, including trade-related issues to strengthen the capabilities of the poor to benefit from fish-trade, WTO agreements, market access instruments, advisory services to Member countries on fish trade and post-harvest systems, in particular FAO's Strategic Programme Objectives 3 and 4
