The euro was extremely weak in early December and this had an impact on fish trade, especially for those suppliers quoting in US dollar. The overall market situation is quite bleak, due to the terrorist scare. Thus sales are slow and importers that had built up inventories in view of the holiday period, have difficulties in finding a market. Overall prices declined for all main fish species.
