GEF-Integrated Approach Programme (IAP) training

FAO’s Incentives for Ecosystem Services (IES) project provided training on IES together with partners from The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), provided training in support of the GEF-Fostering Sustainability and Resilience for Food Security in Sub-Saharan Africa – An Integrated Approach Programme (IAP) in Nairobi, Kenya, 8 May 2018.

The training aimed to share the IES approach to identify mechanisms and enabling environments to improve the coordination of incentives and increase the co-financing potential of GEF-IAP food security projects, including engagement with the private sector.

Next steps: Niger requested the FAO IES team to provide additional follow up training to support national initiatives improved the integration of existing incentives.
