Steps
1. Clean, wash, and soak rice for 1/2 hour. Heat butter, add onion and saute for a few minutes. Add cumin seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, green chili, and mixed vegetables; stir, cover, then simmer for a while.
2. Add drained rice and salt and stir for 5 minutes. Add water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Cover and cook on low heat till done. Garnish with ashews and raisins.
