Join the 3 UN agencies for a high-level launch of 'A Multi-Billion-Dollar Opportunity: Repurposing Agricultural Support to Transform Food Systems' report on Tuesday 14 September 2021 at 15:00 CEST (Rome) / 9:00 EDT (New York).

The inter-agency report, co-authored by MAFAP economists Valentina Pernechele and Christian Derlagen, reveals the state of global government support to agricultural producers, highlighting the most harmful susidies and support for the environment and human health. It also details several projected scenarios of removing certain support measures and the impacts it would have on environment, agriculture and jobs, in high- middle- and low-income countries. The report also serves a guide for policymakers to start repurposing agricultural support through a 6-step policy guide to designing and implementing a repurposing strategy.

The high-level launch on Tuesday, 14 September 2021, will feature the following speakers:
