In the context of the TAP-AIS project, an assessment of the national agricultural innovation system (AIS) of the Lao People's Democratic Republic was conducted in the first half of 2021. The AIS assessment process involved different actors and stakeholder groups within the AIS to identify priority actions and practical solutions according to their expectations and functions in the AIS. This assessment emphasizes the ways in which the agriculture sector can adapt to promote innovation for improving productivity and profitability of producers.

A dissemination workshop to present the findings of the AIS assessment will take place virtually on 08 July 2021 from 13:00 to 17:00 Time in Lao People's Democratic Republic)/ 8:00 to 12:00 Central European Time.

The overall objective of the workshop is to share the main findings and results of the national Agricultural Innovation System assessment. The organizers also hope to promote a common understanding of the AIS and to discuss how to accelerate innovation in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
