Dr. G.G. Koppa, Assistant FAO Representative receiving the award

Mr. Shyam Khadka, FAO Representative in India, was conferred the with 2016 Universal Human Rights Promotion Award at the 17^th World Human Rights Congress organized by the Institute of Human Rights at India International Centre on 10 December 2016.

The award was received by Dr. G.G. Koppa, Assistant FAO Representative on his behalf.

The theme for this year congress was “Human Rights and Tolerance”. It was attended by diplomats, civil servants, students and educators.
