During the Islamic Development Banks 44th Annual meeting took place on the 3rd to 6th April 2019 in Marrakesh, Morocco, FAO co-hosted a side event titled “How Indigenous Youth Integrate Traditional Knowledge, Innovation and Technology”    “Without indigenous peoples, we will not achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly, the Zero Hunger Goal. Under the framework of the Global Campaign for the Empowerment of Indigenous Women for Zero Hunger, FAO and Samburu Women Trust launch the Photo Contest “How do indigenous women contribute to food security?.” We invite indigenous women from Africa to participate in this initiative that seeks to highlight the different ways in which indigenous women contribute to food security and to the economic and social development of their communities.
