Indigenous peoples

The indigenous peoples’ team in the Partnerships and South-South Cooperation  Division (DPS) is the focal point for indigenous peoples' issues within FAO. Our team’s main objective is to work closely with indigenous peoples towards achieving FAO's mandate of freeing the world from hunger and malnutrition, under the overarching frameworks of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and FAO Policy on Indigenous and Tribal Peoples. To know more about our work read our 20152016 and 2017 report of activities. Our ongoing work is comprised of six pillars.
