  • Search the South African Food Composition Database (update 2010)  to look up the energy and selected macronutrient (carbohydrate, fat, protein, fibre) composition of different foods. Should you require more information on the vitamin, mineral, individual fatty acids and amino acids content of food, you could consult the books  on food composition or the dietary analysis software  program, FoodFinder3TM.
