Portuguese organizations commemorate IMD

The Centro de Investigação de Montanha (CIMO) and partners are celebrating International Mountain Day with their “Mountain, Sport and Sustainable Development Days” from 13 to 14 December. The first day of the event is a conference session that brings together a diverse group of speakers, including athletes, politicians, sporting associations and researchers. The event concludes the following day with a hiking trip to Montesinho Mountain.

Baslay Farmer’s Assocation celebrates IMD for the first time

The Sobrarbe-Pyrenees Geopark is hosting a two-day IMD celebration aimed at using images and music to appreciate the natural and cultural heritage of the Pyrenees-Mount Perdido, a UNESCO World Heritage site. There will be a photo-concert in which musicians will play with an image projection of Mount Perdido.
