Senior Adviser (Capacity Development for Investment) - Astrid Agostini leads the Investment Centre’s efforts to develop capacity for investment. Having been with FAO for more than 11 years, she has served the Organization in a variety of posts. With FAO’s natural Resources Department, she developed guidance for sustainable production of biofuels and managed the secretariat of the Global Bioenergy Partnership (GBEP). Ms Agostini began her career at FAO as an economist in the Investment Centre, leading and working with multi-disciplinary teams on the preparation and review of agriculture and rural development projects. Prior to joining FAO, she worked for an economic consulting firm in London. Ms. Agostini holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and a Master of Science in Environmental and Resource Economics from University College London.
