Suzanne Raswant

TCIO Service Chief Suzanne Raswant has over 30 years of worldwide experience in preparation and evaluation of agricultural and rural development investment projects as economist and team leader.  She has worked extensively with the FAO Investment Centre and, as a consultant, directly with international financing organizations including the World Bank and IFAD.  From 2004 she served as Senior Planning Officer with FAO’s Emergency Operations and Rehabilitation Division developing project portfolios in post-conflict situations such as Somalia and Iraq and coordinating FAO’s largest single programme funded by the European Union which provided a response to the 2008 food price crisis in 28 countries. Prior to returning to FAO in 2003, Ms Raswant jointly ran a development consultancy company in the United States for 12 years.  She has a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of London.
