The logo for the International Year of Mountains 2002 is intended
to be used for activities related to awareness raising, promotion and
observance of the International Year of Mountains. Use of the logo for
non-commercial fund-raising purposes may be undertaken only by non-commercial,
not-for-profit entities. It may not be used for commercial purposes. However,
it may be used by for-profit entities for non-commercial purposes only
with prior consent from FAO. Technical guidelines containing instructions
on the multiple graphic uses of the logo will be made available on this
web site in the near future. The logo for the International Year of Mountains 2002, available in English,
French and Spanish, was designed by Giancarlo De Pol.
