World Bee Day, International Tea Day and International Day of Biodiversity!

 
 
Over the past week, we celebrated three days that play a huge part of ensuring our food security and in promoting sustainable livelihoods.
 
Here's a recap of these important days!
 
May 20- World Bee Day is celebrated to raise awareness of the importance of pollinators, the threats they face and their contribution to sustainable development.

May 21- International Tea Day is an opportunity to celebrate the cultural heritage, health benefits and economic importance of tea, while working to make its production sustainable “from field to cup” ensuring its benefits for people, cultures and the environment continue for generations.

May 22- International Biodiversity Day  is not only a day to celebrate the biodiversity around us but to nurture it and reflect on the deep connection between people and nature.
