Consultations on Agricultural Information Management (COAIM)

COAIM 2000

The First Consultation on Agricultural Information Management (Rome, Italy, 5 to 7 June 2000) was attended by 161 representatives of 91 member countries of FAO.

The main objective was to discuss ways of improving the capacities of decision-makers, professionals and the public at large in member countries to access and use information essential for achieving sustainable agricultural development and food security.

COAIM 2000 covered key aspects of agricultural information management, capacity building and improvement of access to relevant information.
