IMARK (Information Management Resource Kit)

FAO launched the partnership-based e-learning initiative known as the Information Management Resource Kit (IMARK) in 2000 with the goal of providing an innovative means for training individuals in the effective management of information dealing with agricultural and rural development.

IMARK learning materials are being developed as a series of modules on CD-ROM, supplemented by an Internet-based online community, for contributors and learners to exchange views and share information. The modules cover several major subject areas in information management and use interactive tutorials specifically designed for individual self-paced learning.

Please visit the IMARK page for further information.

FAO has organized several IMARK consultative workshops, which have provided settings for the review of resource kit modules by the stakeholders. The workshops have served to re-examine and revise the scope, curriculum, individual topics, workflows, and partnership mechanisms of each IMARK module, and have also provided an opportunity for incorporating the views expressed by external experts and potential users in the module development process.
