The Global Partnership Initiative for Plant Breeding Capacity Building (GIPB) is an internationally facilitated platform dedicated to enhancing the capacity of developing countries to improve crops for food security and sustainable development through better plant breeding and delivery systems. This multi-party initiative aims to bring together knowledge institutions that have a track record in supporting agricultural research and development, to work in partnership with country programmes committed to developing stronger and effective crop breeding capacity.
