FAO, as a multilingual organization dealing with hundreds of subjects, has created a TERM PORTAL to create, store, manage and maintain concepts, terms and definitions.
The idea is to offer a container or one-stop-portal for searching all systems and glossaries.
Technical Divisions often need to create glossaries specific to their fields of activity, in one or several languages as a mechanism to enhance exchange of information and facilitate communication. In order to ensure the harmonization of the linguistic information developed, its consistency and reliability, there is a need to coordinate, maintain and share the existing linguistic resources and foster the development of new ones.
