The Communication for Sustainable Development Initiative (CSDI) project newsletter aims to promote knowledge sharing, both from experience in the field and the global level, on different topics such as ComDev, climate change, disaster risk reduction, and food security. It is issued bi-monthly and distributed to over 1000 email subscribers. It is also available in the CSDI web repository, from where all project publications and resources can be downloaded. The CSDI was jointly launched in 2008 by FAO and the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Territory and it is an inter-regional project aimed at promoting ComDev as a means to improve adaptation to climate change, sustainable natural resource management, and food security. The overall objective of the CSDI project is to develop, test and implement communication strategies, services and tools to support sound environmental practices for sustainable rural development.
