Animal Genetic Resources is an international trilingual journal, published two times per year. It is available via the Cambridge University Press (CUP) online platform and in print. Main papers are published in English, French or Spanish, with a summary in all three languages.
The journal covers the following areas: phenotypic and molecular characterization; surveying and monitoring; development (genetic improvement); sustainable use; conservation; capacity-building in livestock keeper and pastoralist communities; and policies and institutions. It thus supports the implementation of the Global Plan of Action for Animal Genetic Resources, the internationally agreed framework for the management of animal genetic resources, and the Convention on Biological Diversity.
