How do we engage senior managers to support our knowledge network or community?
There is a need for sponsorship from top. Sufficient resources (human and financial) should be provided by managers for creation and sustainability of knowledge networks or communities. Additionally, senior and middle management need to be aware of the important contribution that knowledge networks can make to improve the Organization’s performance, and provide appropriate support to staff working on knowledge networks. Senior and middle management should also be aware of what the “right” approach to supporting knowledge networking is, in terms of leadership, staff development, and resource requirements.
