ABOUT THE FLOWERED PROJECT:

FLOWERED is the abbreviation for de-flouridation technologies for improving quality of water and agro – animal products along the East African Rift Valley in the context of adaptation to climate change. FLOWERED aims to develop sustainable water management systems in areas affected by fluoride (F) contamination in water, soils and food in the African Rift Valley countries (Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania) and ultimately improve people’s living standards (environmental, health and food security).

The project follows three main pillars:

  1. Advance beyond state-of-the-art technologies
  2. Improve technologies
  3. Increase public engagement and address social challenges.
