The development of the participatory training and extension programme has proved very much an evolving process. Each country, each pilot site and each farmers field training is a new experience, that requires the adoption of the training material. The initiative, creativity and imagination of technicians, trainers and extensionists in developing the training to the specific conditions of the pilot sites have proved the key to success. The training material included in the CD-ROM and posted on the FAO Water training site will therefore be updated on a continuous basis with new technologies being introduced, new training procedures and experiences included in the training modules. We will inform you about the update of the website.

Participants are encouraged to give their comments on the training approaches and training material published on the website and CD-ROM. Moreover, we welcome any contributions about your experiences in training in farmers’ water management. Share your experience with the other participants and add your training material to the website.
