WUA Legislation Country Profiles The FAO Land and Water Development Division and the Development Law Service are conducting a worldwide inventory on the legal and regulatory framework supporting Water Users Associations. The study includes an inventory and summary analysis of readily available primary and secondary legislation governing the establishment, internal structure, functioning, functions and powers, funding, dissolution, and Government control of the associations. The information has been summarised in a range of country profiles, which were made available for this conference. We invite Conference participants to review these documents, to comment upon, complement or update the information.
