The database is a user-friendly tool to retrieve information on Wastewater Production, Treatment, Re-use and other related topics.

To use the database select Database by clicking, then a list will appear with all the fields and sub-fields of the database.

One may select multiple fields and countries of interest.
Click Display and a table will appear with the requsted information.
Reset is necessary to start a new search.

Each data field reports the Data year which is the year of data collection and is referenced by a Reference Number containing the bibliographic information (note that the year of data collection may not necessarily be the same as the reporting/publication year).

Only fields with information will be shown; otherwise, the cell is filled with a dash.

Comments: Data field containing one or more asterisks (*) indicates information or notes necessary to be reviewed by the user which is invoked by clicking on the asterisk.

Units: The units are always specified in the column heading for each parameter.

Abbreviations: Acronyms and Abbreviation definitions are available by clicking on the text. The database contains many acronyms especially for treatment processes.

Treatment process: One or more codes may be used for treatment for any given country with treatment definitions accessed by using the Variables Definition and a resume table shown in the Overview section.

Database Variables: A complete description of all the terms used in the database with their source is also given. By clicking on the variable of interest, a detailed definition is shown. Another option is to click on the variable of interest in the header of the output tables.
