Charles Sturt University has a total student enrolment of over 32,000 with over 20,000 studying by Distance Education mode. The Wagga Wagga Campus of CSU is in an agricultural region and close to some of the most intense irrigated agriculture in Australia. CSU offers the only Degree in Irrigation in Australia.
The interests of the irrigation staff include irrigation engineering, irrigation agronomy, sustainable management of irrigated crops.
CSU is involved in several co-operative research centres which link staff from many institutions across Australia in joint education, research and extension activities.
Besides courses, a Graduate Certificate in Irrigation, Master and PhD in irrigation and agriculture water management are also available. CSU has a very active program in integrated water resource management.
CSU is regional coordinator of UNESCO's program on Hydrology for Environment, Life and Policy. |
