Burkina-Faso

Main purposes of the mission:
1. To participate as an observer to the first steering committee of APPIA project (Amélioration des Performances sur les périmètres irrigués en Afrique sub-saharienne), formulated by IPTRID and implemented by two of its partners: IWMI (International Water Management Institute) and ARID (Association régionale pour les irrigations et le drainage)
2. To identify AGRIMA (Amélioration des capacités de gestion pour l'utilisation durable des ressources en eau pour l'Irrigation en Méditerranée et en Afrique de l’Ouest) project's orientations / activities in Burkina-Faso.
 

 

Cambodia

Main purposes of the mission:
1. To review the capacity building programme for Farmers Water Users Communities (FWUC) within the activities of Empowerment of Women in Irrigation Management and Water Resources for Improved Household Food Security, Nutrition and Health (WIN) and of the Special Programme for Food Security (SPFS), in the provinces of Kampot, Takeo and Siem Reap
2. To review the FWUC programme initiated by the Cambodian Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM)
3. Assess possible areas for IPTRID support
 

 

Cuba

Main purposes of the mission:
1. To provide technical assistance to and follow up on Cuban TCP Project of Special Programme for Food Security (SPFS)
2. To identify potential sites and main activities for a possible future expansion of SPFS, as a result of the preliminary willingness of the Government of Spain to cooperate with AGL in irrigation projects
 

 

Senegal

Main purpose of the mission:
To assist the Ministry of Agriculture of Senegal in identifying the capacity - development needs in the smallholder irrigation sector (Renforcement des capacités en micro-irrigation pour l'intensification de l'horticulture, HORTICA)

Main purpose of the mission:
To support the Department of Horticulture of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Water Resources Management Service of the Ministry of Hydraulics in the organization and management of a workshop aiming at the formulation of an action plan for the development of micro-irrigation in the Niayes area along the Northern Senegalese coastline
