Integrated Water Resources Management at regional level in Lebanon
The integrated Water Resources Management project – funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) – is being implemented over three years (2017-2020) with a budget of 2.4 million USD. To achieve the overall impact of more effective planning and management of water resources and better water outcomes to end users in Lebanon, the project aims at providing effective means to monitor water resources in the North Lebanon Water Establishment, and enabling data sharing amongst stakeholders and informed decision transfer to end-users. Ultimately, improved monitoring will enhance the water use in the Lebanese agriculture sector and the understanding of environmental risks linked to water quality.
