MAFAP Technical Advisory Group
The Monitoring African Food and Agricultural Policies (MAFAP) project agreement signed between FAO and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation calls for the establishment of a Technical Advisory Group to provide advice to the MAFAP project secretariat on methodology related issues. The core functions of the Technical Advisory Group include the provision of (i) technical advice on issues related to methodology definition, implementation, assessment, and adjustment required to make the methodology fully relevant and adapted to the Africa context, and (ii) technical advice to ensure consistency, complementarily and co-ordination of the project methodology with other policy monitoring or policy analysis initiatives at national, sub regional, regional and global levels.
