FAO Open Day

11-12 May 2019, Rome – The third edition of the FAO OPEN DAY will take place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May 2019, as part of the “Open House Roma 2019” initiative.

Designed in 1938 by leading architects Vittorio Cafiero and Mario Ridolfi, the building works started in 1938, but stopped during World War II. It took over a decade to complete the initial buildings. Two of the six buildings were added in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. The buildings occupy more than 100,000 square meters over a total area of four hectares.

The registrations will open on 24 April at 18.00 hours and visitors can book their visit on www.openhouseroma.org/node/10782. Booking is mandatory.

Guided tours are provided on 11 and 12 May, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm (last entrance is at 19.00 pm), with tours in English at 3:00 pm.
